The church in Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lapland, dates from 1607. The altar trypticon is a work of the well-known swedish artist Bror Hjort (1958). It describes the mission work of Lars Levi Laestadius among the Sami people. Another piece inspired by Sami art and designed by the Sami artist Lars-Levi Sunna is the organ frontispiece.
