The Nave of St. Colman's Cathedral, Cobh
Ireland

St. Colman's Cathedral is an impressive gothic revival structure built between 1868 and 1915, when Cobh was known as Queenstown. Its design is modelled on the famous French cathedrals at Amiens, Chartres and Reims, all of which date from the 12th century. It is named after St. Colman who founded the Diocese of Cloyne in 560.

A carillon of 49 bells with a range of four octaves was installed in 1916. The Cathedral also has the highest steeple in Ireland.
