The "Piazza IX Aprile" opens in the middle of the Corso Umberto I, the main artery of the city of Taormina and that crosses it transversely, from the Messina Gate to the Catania Gate. From the viewpoint overlooking one of the sides of the square, you can enjoy an unparalleled landscape spectacle, the green hill of the Greco-Roman theater, the fabulous bay of Naxos and the imposing mass of Etna. In this square stand the Clock Tower and the Church of San José, with its bell tower topped by a pinnacle.
