Houton Bay Seaplane Station Ramps One
Scotland
During the First World War a seaplane station was built at Houton Bay. It was used to search for German submarines, and closed after the war. The beaching ramp in the distance was broken up to recover structural steel during the Second World War. The ramp under the photographer survived.
