Entrance Castle Sobroso

A 57 km de Pontevedra and in the vicinity of our council, approximately 5 kilometers, is located Vilasobroso castle-fortress, which from the top of Mount Landin allows contemplation of various municipalities of our region.


Easy to get to both from our town, because we have indicators from our Town Hall, or on the road (not the road) that leads to A Cañiza Ponteareas as 6 kilometers in Vilasobroso, we find very informative panels clear that show your location.

Visiting hours are from 10am. to 13h. and 16h. 19h. every day of the week except Monday, which can be confirmed by calling 986 65 43 05. There is room for nature and forest park.

Once in, you will find a castle full of history, whose origins date back to the ninth century, when Bermudo II took refuge in during the battle of Arenaria Portela (today Vilasobroso) between his supporters and troops of Ramiro II, King of Leon.
