The Belém Tower was built as a fortified tower in the begin sixteenth century, with the obectivo to prohibit access of hostile ships, designed by D. João II and built by D. Manuel I, is located on the right bank of the Tejo River in Lisbon, Portugal. The interior is Gothic style marking the end of the medieval tradition.
