The monastery in Muri was founded in the year 1027 by Radbot von Habsburg and his wife Isa von Lothringen. It was inhabited by benedictine monks until 1841 when it was closed by the government of the Canton Aargau.

The panorama does not show the typical view in front of the main entrance, but was shot on the north side in the beautiful garden.
