Viewing the tiny Grizzly Glacier tucked below Thompson Peak in the Trinity Alps Wilderness north of Weaverville, California.  The pocket glacier is the last remaining glacier in the Trinities after the Salmon Glacier below Caesar Peak disappeared in 2015.  This view is from atop the lateral moraine which extends nearly 1/4 mile down the slope facing towards distant Grizzly Lake.  One can see where the glacier scoured the granite bedrock leaving it smooth & pillowy.
