Rocas del Abra
Colombia
The Abra valley is located east of Zipaquirá, at a distance of about a kilometer from this town, the open grassland is bordered to the east and west by two north-south rocky chains, known as "Rocks of Sevilla". These rock formations correspond to the upper Cretaceous and extend to the east in an extension of two thousand kilometers and to the west in one kilometer and approximately seven hundred meters. The distance between the two rocky ridges determines the width of the valley that fluctuates between five hundred and seven hundred meters; The height of the site corresponds to 2750 meters above sea level and its surface extension reaches approximately 43750 m2. The rocks have a height of approximately 50 meters and the stratification is almost horizontal.
