Ouse Valley (Balcombe) Viaduct
England

This Victorian viaduct was built in 1841 to carry the London to Brighton railway. It spans the River Ouse near Haywards Heath and is 1475 ft long and 96 ft at the highest point.

It was built with 11 million bricks and dressed with balustrades and cappings made of Caen stone. It is now a Grade II listed building and still carries over 100 trains a day.
