Lake Bitterang in Hattah Kulkyne National Park
Victoria

Panorama of Lake Bitterang in the Hattah-Kulkyne National Park, Victoria, Australia. Lake Bitterang forms part of the Hattah-Kulkyne Lakes Ramsar site approximately 480 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. Lake Bitterang is located on the floodplain of the Murray River. When filled via Chalka Creek the lakes in the park can retain water up to 3 years with a diverse population of waterbirds and a wide range of indigenous flora and fauna.
