The panorama is taken at the hilltop of Kanoni peninsula. The airport of Corfu island is located next to it. From here one can see the Vlacherna monastery, which was built centuries ago on a small rocky island. A few hundred meters away on the water is the beautiful Mouse island (in the Greek "Pontikonisi"). Its name comes from the fact that seen from above, it looks like a little mouse. This island is very small and has plenty of greenery. It can be walked for up to 5 minutes. From Kanoni or the monastery to Pontikonisi one can reach by boat for a decent fee. The boats travel to the island every 20-30 minutes. The Mouse island has an old Byzantine church.
