Sunset atTrebarwith Strand, Cornwall. VR
England

This image has been re-mastered for Virtual Reality using a suitable viewer.

Trebarwith Strand, with its superb sandy beach is a popular destination for summer visitors. Winter storms - especially at sunset, make it a mecca for hardy photographers because the rocks are extremely slippery.

The crumbling cliffs are made from blackish Delabole Slate. It's structure makes it ideal for the thin slate used for roofing. It has been commercially quarried in the area since the 13th Century.

You can explore a disused quarry a couple of miles inland.
