Museum in the clouds is part of Messner Mountain Museum with six exhibitions on six different places in the Alps. It is located on Monte Rite, 2181 m, between Pieve di Cadore and Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italian Dolomites. The museum is placed in restored military fortress from the First World War with some modern structures added like two roof structures shaped like crystals of the dolomite rock.
