Cathédrale St. Pierre Genève
Switzerland

Built in the 12th century, Saint-Pierre Cathedral underwent significant transformations. During the Reformation, it became a Protestant place of worship. The effort to climb the 157 steps that lead to the top of the towers is rewarded with an incredible 360° panorama of the city and the lake, a breathtaking panorama. Don't miss the archaeological site located beneath the Cathedral, where you will discover treasures dating back to Antiquity, a unique archaeological site.

Swissminiatur is an open-air museum where you can admire the most important Swiss buildings and means of transport, located in Melide, near Lugano in the canton of Ticino, and opened in 1959.

The park covers 14,000 m². Spread throughout the park, you can admire more than 133 1:25 scale models of the most famous buildings and monuments in Switzerland.

The detailed and authentic models include famous sites such as the castles of Rapperswil, Chillon and Bellinzona, the Federal Parliament in Bern and the Piazza Grande in Locarno. A network of 3,560 metres of miniature railways runs through the park with 18 trains running on the tracks, crossing bridges and stopping at stations, while boats sail on rivers and lakes, cable cars and funiculars go up and down mountains and cars travel along the motorways.

Surrounded by beautiful mountains such as Monte Generoso, San Salvatore and San Giorgio, every year tourists from all over the world visit this park located on the shores of Lake Lugano, also known as Lake Ceresio and easily accessible by boat or train from Lugano.

Construída no século XII, a Catedral de Saint-Pierre sofreu transformações significativas. Sob a Reforma, tornou-se um local de culto protestante.
