The Portrait Room decorated in the style of Louis XVI, this room pays homage to the last six kings of the Bragança Dynasty. What stands out most in this space is undoubtedly its floor with a rare visual effect of illusory depth.

With this symbolic tribute, the Commercial Association of Porto thanked D. Maria II for the donation of the ruins of the extinct Convento de S. Francisco.

The table displayed in this room, the work of the Portuguese carver Zeferino José Pinto, took three years to complete and received an honorable mention at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867
